Night the Fourth October 15, 11:00 P.M. "No, no, no! You've got to be faster." Harley lept down from the tree he had been squatting in, landing nimbly on the ground at Hannah's feet. He descent from the tree had been much more graceful than Hannah's, who had jumped, missed the branch she was aiming for, panicked as she tried to grab another one, and cracked her head on three other limbs before landing. She sat up with a groan and brushed pine needles out of her hair. The fall hadn't actually hurt her, but she still felt embarrassed. She looked up at Harley, who had his hands on his hips and was wearing an exasperated expression.

As he led her through the remains of an old abandoned barn he pointed out something to her that she hadn't noticed before: there were no lights in the barn. You know, some days I wonder why it is we fear change so much. The best answer I can come up with is that we are afraid of change because we much prefer the safety of "the way things have always been". We don't like different. We shun different. Happy New Years Minions!
